SINCE 1994, RAPID OBJECTS HAS DELIVERED BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE SOLUTIONS TO IMPROVE THE BUSINESSES OF A VARIETY OF CLIENTS.
Clients:
Sumitomo Bank (Japan) and a variety of other international and domestic banks

Challenge:
For banks or insurance companies, the company depends on the performance of all the contracts with each and every customer. Since economic environments are constantly changing, managing financial institutions requires analysis of how all customers are likely to behave in an range of future conditions. It is difficult to analyze the huge numbers of customers and contracts often enough and in sufficient detail to understand and manage the risks. This challenge is heightened when different customers and contracts are processed in different application systems with incompatible data structures.

Solution:
We developed data models to standardize the retail and commercial financial contracts in an enterprise-wide data warehouse. Next, we developed data extraction and transformation rules for mapping legacy data from disparate processing systems into the data warehouse. Finally, we implemented logic for clustering and aggregating the detailed items into data marts of manageable size and dimensions.

Result:
Some of the world's largest financial institutions were able to manage risk and improve earning in spite of changing interest rates and markets.
